In 1999 life for my wife and I changed. The company she was working for was cutting its’ workforce by 20%. We knew there was a good chance she could be one of them so she started looking for a new job. After a hectic week of secret interviews at short notice a Swiss company made an enthusiastic offer, this was closely followed by further interviews and a competing offer from another department. We had a weeks holiday in Scotland and took some of the time to go through everything in detail. We returned home positive but still undecided, then she was made redundant. So decision made. That’s where this adventure began.

About the Author

I am a Psychologist, I work in consultancy, Human Capital work, particularly Talent Management, bespoke training Grindelwald with the Wetterhorncourses, and Coaching (Management, Leadership, Performance and Life/Work Balance). I make things better for my clients, help people keep “sane” etc. From this you can easily deduce I'm a people person. So why was I so willing to give up my life in the UK to move over here? In a previous incarnation (when I first graduated) I work as a psychologist as part of a team using Adventure to help Special Needs Children discover their full potential. As part of that I taught skiing in Scotland, Canoeing on white-water and the sea, Rock Climbing and even some Mountaineering. My wife says it’s what keeps me sane - she’s probably right – it’s certainly what keeps me human. So a chance to live in Switzerland was too good to miss.

I'm hoping for some inspired insights to share. Anyway I'm constructing these pages to keep my brain alive on the dull rainy days when there is no work....There're always mountains to explore in the good weather
