We were so taken with "our" first snow that we decided to go to Lucerne to do our Christmas shopping. The idea being that it would give us a chance to see the countryside in the snow and let us see a little of the place. Last time we were there it was only to catch a ferry on the lake.
The place is fantastic. The bridges are well worth the fuss that is made about them, the old town brilliant and the walls are still very impresive. Oh and the shopping was good too. We had a great day out.
I've seen lots of calendars and chocolate box pictures of the place, I've even made it up as a picture puzzle but this was different and some how it all feels a little unreal still. I hope that feeling stays with us for a while at least.
