There's a great difficulty with a site like this, that is to avoid turning
it into a travelogue or an advert for Swiss
Tourism.
But in this case I'm going to make an exception. You see we have just had
our first visitor since moving into Switzerland and have taken the opportunity
to go around with her to see what's what. As a result we have seen more of
Switzerland in the last few weeks than the rest of the time we have been here.
Let me start by introducing our friend Sue, She's a Nun - well a Religeous Sister to be precise. She works out of an Anglican convent in "Deepest Hackney" ( Her phrase not mine) in London where she helps with Refugees etc. She's a connoisseur of real Ale and great fun to be with. She had visited Switzerland once before, Basle, and been mightily disappointed with the lack of snow covered mountains. So the one request we had from her was "Mountains with snow please".
