It's
strange. Sometimes when you think you are finally settling into a country
something happens which totally changes your perspective.
Many years ago a Swiss psychologist called Piaget started to study a small group of children. It was an intense longitudinal study to try and discover if children went through clear stages of development and if they did to try and identify those stages. Despite the small size of his study group he was resoundingly successful and his work is now know to Psychologists, Sociologists, Anthropologists, Educationalists and Teachers around the planet. My self included however it was only recently I realized the link between this and the current structure of the Swiss educational system.
