of sleaze. As a result it now stands empty and rotting, seen from the air
it is a "zit" on the face of London. As for the Foot and mouth crisis,
now into it's sixth month and still counting. The wanton murder of so many
millions of healthy cattle and sheep is ludicrous and wateful, and yet the
government has no intention of naming names and no desire for a public inquiry.
The Civil Service in the UK never allow the government to ask questions it
doesn't want answered and after all it might accidentally find the truth.
It is therefore amazing to think that his word alone were sufficient to get
him re-elected and as I can't imagine anything like that happening in Switzerland
I find myself asking Why has it happened in the UK? Either the news is wrong
or the is something seriously wrong

Everything was the best and the British people took great pride in that, and worked long and hard to maintain it. Roughly over the next Thirty years all that changed. Two World Wars, the petty hedonism of the 1920's and one world wide economic crash and resultant depression taught the British people a new philosophy and during that period they rightly took pride in it. The philosophy was encapsulated in the old saying of "Make do and mend". Use limited resources as effectively as you could to get by. Don't worry about making a lasting thing, just so it works for now.
