Well, don't just sit there open a bottle of Champagne................................. Why?.....................................because parts of Switzerland are celebrating their birthday, their 200th birthday to be exact. It appears that it was 200 years ago some of the modern kantons first came into existence. In the case of the one I live in, Aargau Kanton, it was created from three smaller kantons to help counter-balance the power and influence of Zurich and Berne Kantons. As a result there are flags flying and events happening to celebrate this momentous change in the the counttry's past. Watch out for them if you are over here this year.
